Our Story

Why CanaStruct Exists

"Many of us dreamed of becoming builders as children, creating house-like structures in our backyards. CanaStruct was established with the vision of allowing us, and like-minded people, to live that childhood dream: building houses for our communities that amaze everyone and become the manifestation of who we are and what we do."

- Zura Mirzikashvili, Structural Framer & Co-Owner

There's nothing more rewarding than watching pieces of lumber transform into a breathtaking home structure within days or weeks, eventually becoming the foundation for a long-lasting, healthy life for a house. We believe your home is your fortress, and like any castle, it has to be built strong to withstand the test of time.

At CanaStruct, we value the power of strong relationships. We work closely with clients, architects, and designers to keep collaboration seamless and outcomes successful. Open communication and transparency are how we build trust and long-term partnerships, project after project.

What Our Clients Say

Testimonials

"CanaStruct framed our custom build in Etobicoke from foundation to roof without a single missed date. Every wall was square, every measurement was checked twice, and Zura kept us updated the whole way through."

- Marcus D., Custom Home Client, Etobicoke

"We brought CanaStruct onto a multiplex build in Richmond Hill and they matched the pace of a much bigger crew. Framing was clean, inspections passed on the first try, and their site presence made our job easier."

- Priya S., Site Supervisor, Richmond Hill Multiplex

"Our warehouse expansion needed structural steel framing done fast and to code. CanaStruct's crew worked around our operating hours and handed off a tight, well-documented job with no surprises."

- Dave K., Facilities Manager, Mississauga

"After a full addition and drywall job in the Beaches, our house feels like it was built this way from day one. Straightforward communication and the final invoice matched the original quote."

- Sarah T., Homeowner, The Beaches, Toronto

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions, Answered

How many years has CanaStruct been in business?

CanaStruct has been framing homes and commercial buildings across Toronto and the GTA for 10+ years, built on the 15+ years lead framer and co-owner Zura Mirzikashvili has spent on framing sites in the region.

Is CanaStruct licensed and insured in Ontario?

Yes. CanaStruct is HCRA and Tarion registered, WSIB covered, and carries $2 million in liability insurance.

What areas does CanaStruct serve?

CanaStruct serves Toronto (including Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York, East York, and the Beaches) along with Mississauga, Oakville, Markham, Richmond Hill, Caledon, and the wider Greater Toronto Area.

How much does framing cost, and how is a quote priced?

Framing cost depends on square footage, framing material (wood vs. steel stud), storeys, and site access. We walk the plans or the site with you and provide a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises once framing begins.

How long does it take to frame a custom home or addition?

Most single-family custom homes take a few weeks to frame once material is on site, depending on size and complexity. Multiplex, warehouse, and commercial jobs run on their own schedule, which we confirm during the estimate.

Should I frame in wood or steel stud?

Wood framing is standard for most custom homes and low-rise residential builds. Steel stud framing is non-combustible and dimensionally stable, which makes it a better fit for commercial buildings, multi-storey residential projects, and below-grade work. We can walk you through which one fits your project during the estimate.

Does CanaStruct work through the winter?

Yes. Winter framing is standard practice across the GTA and doesn't weaken structural lumber when the project is sequenced correctly. We manage moisture and scheduling the same way we do in summer, and winter builds often come with better scheduling availability.

Can CanaStruct handle framing and drywall as one project, or do I need two contractors?

One project. We carry jobs from rough framing straight through to drywall, so you're working with a single crew and a single point of contact from frame to finish.

Does CanaStruct offer welding services separately from framing?

Yes, through our dedicated welding division, CanaWelding, which handles structural, custom, and emergency welding with CWB-certified welders matched to each project.
